Hello there, my name is Annabel Madyara, I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor.
Jargon aside what does that mean for you? This means I am trained to work with you relationally using a combination of therapeutic approaches. This approach recognises your uniqueness and the need for your therapy to adapt to your own way of being within safe boundaries. You might find Integrative therapy beneficial in the following ways: ~ Clarity and greater understanding on the causes of why you feel the way you do. ~ Recognise your triggers and how to manage yourself in a productive way. ~ You recognise the limitations you've set for yourself and work through ways to move beyond them.
My core way of working is Humanistic, where I aim to embody an empathic approach that empowers and motivates individuals in the therapeutic process.
I believe that our past can impact our present therefore I integrate the Psychodynamicapproach in the way of work. Therapy can help with Post Traumatic Growth. Accepting the reality of a traumatic experience in the here and now can be an essential step. I believe in the potential for growth after a traumatic experience.
My belief is that one of the most important qualities of therapy is the therapeutic relationship between me and you. It is a relationship unlike any other in our lives because it is a place that we can truly be free to express ourselves with no fear of judgment and I am very much committed to maintaining the integrity of that relationship.
I often tell my clients that I am going to be there with you whilst you navigate your way through whatever you bring to your sessions. I understand this because I have been there as a client too. A requirement of my training for me to qualify was to have numerous therapy sessions, believe me when I say I have sat in the client’s chair too!
If you would like bespoke therapy then integrative therapy might be for you. If you are considering whether I could be the right fit for you, please get in touch.
